Ludvigs Teteris (1943–2003) was the director, engineer, and social worker of the study and research farm “Vecauce” operated by Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies, as well as a member of Auce and Dobele District Councils, the former member of the Supreme Council of Latvia, and a prominent local personality. He has received the 3rd class Order of the Three Stars (2000) and the Commemorative Medal for Participants of the Barricades of 1991. The commemorative site is shaped as an unfinished building. It was inaugurated on 26 July 2005 (sculptor: Gļebs Panteļējevs).
